Already Had Short Sale Training?
Unless it covered the new changes to the Making Home Affordable Program, you need an update.
This training covers the new step-by-step process, rules, guidelines, forms and paperwork you must now use.
Earlier this year, the government rolled out the Making Home Affordable Program (MHA).
MHA has changed the process, guidelines, and paperwork required for Short Sales. It is in effect now ... covers 9 out of 10 home loans ... and is mandatory.
Real estate agents must follow the new process, understand the rules and guidelines and use the standardized paperwork. It's a whole new ballgame!
This two-day event includes CAP's comprehensive Short Sale Success training that will teach you how the Making Home Affordable Program works (presented by Laurie Moore-Moore).
Here's some of what you'll learn:
- Eligibility requirements for the MHA program
- The new MHA mandatory Short Sale process and the one point during loss mitigation when a Short Sale will even be considered
- The three “packages of information” the servicer now requires (with checklists)
- How servicer and investor motivations have changed
- The new financial incentives for servicers and lenders and how to use them in negotiating
- Who now sets the list price and listing term – it’s not the homeowner
- The government’s new rule covering your commission
- What the government will now pay to your seller
- Why removing junior liens just got easier
- Who is now policing the servicers to be sure they perform (and how)
- The latest on debt forgiveness and seller’s tax liability
- And more…
Ongoing Access to Resources
You'll also receive samples of relevant checklists, documents, the new required forms and more. To ensure that you'll be up to date as the MHA program evolves and new rules and procedures are implemented, all attendees will also receive 12 months of free access to the Short Sale Success online training course and downloadable resources, which will be continuously updated.
Insights from Experts
On both days, you'll hear from speakers and panels of governmental officials, loss mitigators, and other agents. You'll have the opportunity to network and will leave having earned a CAP Short Sale Achievement Certificate, indicating you have received Making Home Affordable training.
