When my husband finally persuaded me to start looking for a house closer into town so that our commutes to work weren't so long, I told him that we had to contact Carol. Carol helped me find the perfect house over 20 years ago, and I remembered her warm, personal service and how helpful she had been. Twenty years later, Carol helped us find the perfect house in less than two weeks (I had thought it would take months). The house had great potential, but it needed a major remodel to update the mid-1980s decor. Carol put us in touch with a contractor who was a dream to work with, and with an interior designer who was able to see the house and what it could look like and who was able to help us turn the house into our dream home. Along the way, Carol also steered us to excellent home inspectors, plumbers and other professionals we needed to work with. Of course we wouldn't work with anyone but Carol in the sale of the house in which we had lived for 11 years, and Carol had excellent advice on what we needed to do to get the house ready to list. (She was also a pretty good therapist when I called her more than once in tears from the stress from the huge remodeling job we were involved with on our new home, and the stress of having a painter in our current home daily for almost two weeks to paint and remove wallpaper.) Because of Carol's advice and some hard work on our part, we listed our house for sale and had a full price offer the next morning. Needless to say, we were thrilled. When we worked with Carol, we didn't feel that we were just working with our realtor. We were working with a friend who truly cared about us and cared about finding the perfect home for us. Carol goes way above and beyond the normal duties of a realtor.
